Walter holds a BSC Honours Degree in Economics as well as a Chartered Institute of Secretaries Certificate (CIS). He obtained an International Consultant Certificate in Total Cost of Ownership from Ivrea Italy in 1996. He has held positions before in Dimension Data’s Choice Technologies as their Director for Business Development and also served as a board member. He has worked for Olivetti Africa as an Executive. He is also the Co- Founder of Tasima the company that built the National Traffic Information System for South Africa (e-Natis and) has also served as a Director and member of the Board of Tasima Pty Ltd. He has also served as a Group Executive Director for Mecer Computers, which is the largest computer company in South Africa. Walter also heads up Sytex a Joint Venture with one of the largest property companies in RSA listed on the Johannesburg stock exchange, Colliers Properties International.Walter is heavily involved in property development and sector. Walter is the Founder and Chairman of the Webcom Group of Companies which was voted a one of the top 500 Empowerment Companies in South Africa by Impumelelo.
