Essop Pahad is the Former Minister in the Presidency of Republic of South Africa (1999 - 2008). The former minister launched a new intellectual monthly journal in South Africa (in 2009), called The Thinker and with contributions by leading writers from India. He is on the Board of Directors for the Fifa 2010 World Cup LOC.
