Dan Plato

MEC for Community Safety in the Western Cape


Born 05-10-1960

Dan Plato is Community Safety MEC for the Western Cape Provincial Government. He was Executive Mayor of Cape Town and has been involved in political activities since high school, having fought against apartheid on the Cape Flats in the 1980s. He joined the National Party in the 1990s, and then joined the Democratic Alliance in the 2000 merger.
