Awarded a B rating by the National Research Foundation in recognition of the international impact of his research publications and other outputs, Professor Tinyiko Maluleke is also member of the South African Academy of Science. He has published more than 70 scholarly and peer-reviewed articles. Tinyiko has also published dozens of shorter popular articles and opinion pieces. The 10 students who completed their PhDs under his supervision are black, white, male and female and they hail from such countries as Canada, Germany, DRC, Sierra Leone and South Africa itself. An intellectual who is passionate about social justice, Tinyiko Maluleke is proficient in all of the eleven South African official languages. He also speaks and writes French. Maluleke is also a highly respected political and social commentator whose analyses, views and opinions are often solicited by the South African media. He is invited to speak at many academic, community and corporate functions.
