JP Farinha joined Naspers in 2004 as GM of MWEB Studios. With the formation of 24.com he was appointed GM and then CTO/COO before being appointed to his current role of CEO. Prior to joining the Naspers group JP was managing Director of iafrica.com. JP started his career as a software developer in the financial industry and has worked for the JHB Stock Exchange and Deutsche bank London. JP is the founder of the Online Publishers Association and served on the Executive Committee for five years from it’s inception to 2008 as Head of Measurement. In this time he set up the Nielsen//Netratings system in SA. JP was the inaugural winner of the 2008 “Greatest Individual Contribution to New Media” Bookmarks award.
