Reverend Doctor, anti Apartheid activist and former Chairman for ANC in the Western Cape. Left the ANC to join opposition party, COPE, in 2008. Selected as COPE's premier candidate for the 2009 Elections in February 2009. Left COPE November 2009. Other: In 1999 he was convicted of fraud and imprisoned. He was released in 2001 having served only one year of his three year sentence. In 2004 he was re-instated as a Cleric.
