Mara Louw

TV personality


Born 17-07-1952 in Soweto

Mara Louw has been an Idols Judge since 2002. She sang at the inauguration of President Nelson Mandela and the Freedom Day Celebrations in 1994. She has also had the privilege of singing for Queen Elizabeth. Her singing career started in 1973, when she joined the touring 'Meropa' which took her as far afield as Japan, Hong Kong, the Philipines and England. In 1976 she appeared in both the Dobie Gray and Main Ingredient South African tours.
