Born 31-03-1983 in Tongaat Natal

Hashim Amla is a right-hand batsman for the South African Cricket team. In 2010 he was nominated for the CSA Test Cricketer of the Year award, the Standard Bank One-Day International Cricketer of the Year award and the SA Cricketer of the Year award at the 2010 SA Cricket Awards Gala. Hashim won Cricket South Africa's premier award, the South African Cricketer of the Year, at the 2010 SA Cricket Awards Gala. In 2011, he received the award for Sports Star of the Year at the South African Sports Awards.
