Ian Ainslie

Ian Ainslie is a Teacher and member of Team Shosholoza and South African sportsman. He played for the Olympic Games at the Finn Class Sailing in Barcelona in 1992, Atlanta in 1996 and Sydney in 2000. He won Five Lipton Challenge Cup regattas, two on winning yachts (helmsman, 1997, for RCYC; skipper and helmsman, 2002, for Zeekoevlei Yacht Club). He holds 15 national titles in the Finn, Hunter, L26 and J22 classes. He is a member of the South African team that won the world title in Match Racing at the Nations Cup in San Francisco in 1995.
