Antjie Krog

South African Poet, Academic and Writer


Born 23-10-1952 in South Africa

Antjie Krog is a South African poet, academic and writer. She is currently a Professor at the university of the Western Cape. She is the former Director of the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation. From 1995 to 2000 she worked for the SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation) as a radio journalist, reporting on the hearings of the Truth and Reconciliation Commision from 1996 to 1998.
