Johann Rupert is a South African businessman and chairman of the luxury goods company Richemont and he is also Non-Executive Chair of VenFin and Remgro. He ranked second in South Africa with a fortune estimated at 3.8 billion dollars ,just after the Oppenheimer family. He took ownership of the L'Ormarins wine estate from his late brother, and developed the farm in his honour.
