Henry Cele


Born 30-11-1948 in Durban

Deceased

Passed away on Friday 02 November 2007 in St Augustine's Hospital in Durban where he had been admitted just over a week ago with a chest infection. Prior to branching into the acting profession, he was well-known in his youthful years as a footballer - Black Cat Cele. He became famous for his chilling portrayal of Shaka Zulu in the SABC's 1986 Shaka Zulu mini-series. He also starred in films such as the 1993 film Point of Impact and the 1990 film The Last Samurai.
