Jacko Maree is Chief Executive of Standard Bank Group Ltd. His career began in the corporate finance department of Standard Merchant Bank in 1980. He was appointed Managing Director of Standard Merchant Bank in 1991 and then Managing Director of the newly formed Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank in 1995. In 1999, he was appointed Chief Executive of the Standard Bank Group. He is Chairman of The Banking Association (S.A.) and a former Director of the International Monetary Conference.
