Born 01-06-1939 in Barberton South Africa

Smangaliso Mkhatshwa is Executive Mayor of Tshwane Metropolitan Council. He worked for Southern African Catholic Bishop's Conference for 18 years, 8 as Secretary-General and was ordained Priest in 1965. He was twice received by Pope John Paul II and participated in education struggles, culminating in formation of National Education Co-ordinating Committee.
