Testimonials

Jacques Cronje

"“Shaun Lindbergh was our ideal client, totally committed to environmental principles, open to, and motivating us to come up with sustainable design solutions, and as a developer was a pioneer in focusing on the triple bottom line - at a time when the term itself was only just starting to get used. Whereas typically we would have been asked to maximise views Shaun was asking us to minimise the visual impact. It was really great to be given an opportunity to incorporate the principles of passive solar design, natural ventilation, solar, rainwater harvesting and recycling, bio sewerage systems and the use of natural building materials all into the design of one project.” " - 2004

Muller Coetzee

"I have often sited the Falcon Ridge project (and Mr Lindbergh’s approach thereto) in lectures, talks and discussions with other clients, as a unique and positive example of an entrepreneur/ conservationist (not your typical developer) that has demonstrated a true commitment to wanting to do something special, something that would leave a legacy and signal a shift towards more sustainable development and sound environmental practice.

This commitment was evident in Mr Lindbergh’s willingness to actively and creatively explore with his consultants the best options for addressing environmental challenges and to seek every opportunity for enhancing potential positive benefits that could flow through the proposed development. To this end he personally familiarised himself with principles of international best practice, sustainable development and green building design and managed to negotiate a unique partnership agreement with the adjacent De Hoop Nature Reserve.
" - 2004
