Pamela Ramagaga
New Business Manager, Glenrand M.I.B. Limited
I love challenges and I am at the stage in my career where I am still yearning for new challenges. I have been a short term insurance broker for more than 15 years servicing my clients (many different sectors over the years) and now solely New Business from Corporate SA and the Public Sector. I believe I can add great value wearing a 'client’s hat' being on the other side of the negotiating table. I have seen what most clients need and most have resorted to making the finance person an insurance person thus dependent in bulk on their broker or insurer. This expertise should be in-house thus a composite look at all business risks. I love what I do and with that comes my passion for it.

CEO | Owner | Mashikwana Day Spa
Bramley, South Africa | 2006 - 2009
Medical, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals
I ran this business whilst fully employed at Marsh SA Ltd. This is an industry I enjoyed for my own relaxation and turned into a passion of how I could make it different, carving it to what I liked as a client based on the principle that the "client is king". I purchased a house, 65 Silwood Road, in Bramley and turned the entire house into a Beauty Spa including an in house hair salon catering to all hair types and resourced it accordingly. Our services ranged from body massages, facials & nail care. I had a boardroom I used to rent out to some of my industry colleagues for their own meetings. I ran Mashikwana Risk Consulting from the same premises utilising the Spa's growing client base for their own company & personal insurances.

Account Director | Strategic Growth Industries | Alexander Forbes Limited
Johannesburg | 1995 - 2005
Accounting, Banking and Finance
My last position was as an Account Executive within the Strategic Growth Industries. I handled Corporate and globally placed accounts within these industries ranging from Media to Hospitality. I had a smashing career at Alexander Forbes and loved every minute. I moved solely because I needed to have new experiences, read somewhere that if employed for more than 10 years with a company you tend to be unemployable thus the main reason for my move of which same message I gave to my MD at the time.
