Oliver Hermanus

South African Film Director


Oliver Hermanus is a South African film director. His graduation film, 'Shirley Adams', premiered at the Locarno International Film Festival in 2009. Since the films' North American premier at the Toronto International Film Festival, it has been screened around the world. 'Shirley Adams' won numerous prizes including the Grand Prix at the Amiens International Film Festival. In 2011 his film 'Skoonheid' was announced as one of the films to be screened at the 64th Cannes film festival.
