Nadine Gordimer

South African Novelist and Noble Prize Winner


Born 20-11-1923 in Gauteng

Nadine Gordimer is a South African writer and political activist. When she won the Nobel prize for Literature in 1991, she became the first woman to receive the honour in 25 years. Gordimer has achieved international recognition for her works, most of which deal with political issues.
