Zuma Jacob
Jacob Zuma was elected President of South Africa in May 2009. President of the African National Congress (ANC) since December 2007. Crowned 'African President of the Year' in 2009. He was influenced by a family member who was a trade unionist and became involved in politics at an early age. He started the process of promoting positive values through the launch of the Moral Regeneration Movement. He was also Chairperson of the South African National Aids Council and Chancellor at the University of Zululand. He has played an important role as mediator and facilitator of peace on the continent especially in Bulundi and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He is also patron of the Peace and Reconstruction Foundation as well as the Albert Luthuli Education and Development Foundation.
Mugabe Robert
Robert Gabriel Mugabe is the current President of Zimbabwe, under the ruling party ZANU PF. One of the leader of the liberation movements against white-minority rule, he was elected into power as the head of government since 1980, as Prime Minister from 1980 to 1987, and as the first executive head of state since 1987. An agreement for a power-sharing government was reached in September 2008, in which Mugabe would remain president but would cede some power to Morgan Tsvangirai Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), who would become prime minister. The power-sharing government was implemented in February 2009.
Mbeki Thabo
Thabo Mbeki is a South African politician who served almost two terms as the second post-apartheid President of South Africa from 14 June 1999 to 24 September 2008. On 20 September 2008, he announced his resignation after being recalled by the African National Congress's National Executive Committee. He was the architect of NEPAD whose aim is to develop an integrated socio-economic development framework for Africa. Mbeki has mediated in difficult and complex issues on the African continent including Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Ivory Coast, as well as being involved in some important peace agreements (i.e. in Zimbabwe).
Motlanthe Kgalema Mkhuluwa
Kgalema Motlanthe is a South African Politician former President of South Africa (2008-2009)- completing the second elected term of Thabo Mbeki. Former trade unionist and member of the ANC's military wing Umkhonto we Sizwe Umkhonto we Sizwe (or MK), translated "Spear of the Nation," was the active military wing of the African National Congress (ANC) in cooperation with the South African Communist Party in their fight against the South African apartheid government.

Mandela Nelson Madiba
Nelson Mandela is a qualified lawyer. He was the first South African president of a more democratic South Africa, elected in 1994 and serving until 1999. Prior to becoming president, Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist, and the leader of Umkhonto we Sizwe, the armed wing of the African National Congress (ANC). In 1952 Mandela and Oliver Tambo had opened the first black legal firm in the country, and Mandela was both Transvaal president of the ANC and deputy national president. Mandela served 27 years in prison, some of which were on Robben Island. He was released from prison on 11 February 1990. Mandela has received more than 250 awards over four decades, most notably the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize. His birthday 18 July has been named Mandela Day in his honour. UN observed the first ever annual 'Nelson Mandela Day' on Sunday, Jul 18 2010.

Prime Minister of Zimbabwe and President of the Movement for Democratic Change, Harare. On 11 February 2009, Morgan Richard Tsvangirai became the second Prime Minister of Zimbabwe since Independence.
Zille Helen
