Alain Mizelle

Alain Mizelle is a successful oil & gas and mining businessman based in Montreal (Quebec) Canada. Born and raised in Brazzaville (Congo) he completed a Masters in Earth Sciences and trained with Elf Congo for a short period in 1992. After moving to South Africa in 1994, Alain enroled at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and earned a Msc (Eng) Mining in 1997. From 1996, Alain worked for Engen's oil and gas division, Energy Africa, being involved in the Haute-Mer/Nkossa field development project which involved Chevron and Total. Along with several oil & gas professional training courses in Europe including Oxford's College of Petroleum and Energy Studies, he undertook petroleum geological project evaluation and new venture studies for several West African countries including Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon, Angola, Cote D'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania. Alain jointly recommended Energy Africa's farmin into EG's block F&G which resulted in the discovery of over 2 billion barrels of oil at the Ceiba field and the Okoume complex. Alain moved to Canada where he launched a number of Junior oil & gas companies including GGPC (Gulfofguinea Petroleum Corp) whose assets were used for the listing of one-time London AIM company, FirstAfrica Oil Plc. He now leads the Prevail Group of companies, including Prevail Investment Limited engaged in oil and gas and mining investments, Prevail Energy Limited whose former subsidiary Prevail Energy Congo is involved in the redevelopment of the giant Mengo-Kundji-Bindi fields onshore Congo, Triune Oil & Gas Corp is engaged in oil and gas production in Canada and the USA. Alain has an in-depth knowledge of West African petroleum basins as well as key oil and gas plays, business practices, including experience in negotiating oil & gas contracts and joint-venture Agreements. He is a well respected and connected businessman with a wealth of contacts and relationships at the highest levels in most West African countries. Alain's goal is the continued expansion of his oil and gas investments throughout Africa and North America and entry into mining projects involving gold, diamonds and platinum group metals.
