Raymond Ackerman
Raymond Ackerman is a South African businessman. In 1967 he bought a Cape Town-based group comprising four small supermarkets. He built it into South Africa's major retailer, Pick 'n Pay, which has featured among the Top 100 Companies since 1973. In 2010 he handed over his legacy to his son Gareth Ackerman who took over as Chairman of the company. In 2009 Raymond Ackerman received an Honorary Doctorate in Commerce from the University of Kwazulu-Natal.

GT Ferreira is currently the Chairman of RMB Holdings Limited. He has been involved in the financial services sector since graduating with commerce degrees from the University of Stellenbosch. Mr Ferreira was announced the Cape Town Chamber of Business and Die Burger's Business Leader of 2010.

Paul Harris co-founded Rand Consolidated Investments (“RCI”) in 1977. He spent four years in Australia where he founded Australian Gilt Securities (later to become RMB Australia) and returned to South Africa in 1991 as deputy managing director of RMB. In 1992, he took over as chief executive officer. Subsequent to the formation of FirstRand, he was appointed chief executive officer of FirstRand Bank Holdings in 1999, a position he held until December 2005 when he was appointed chief executive officer of FirstRand. He retired in 2010.

Desmond Sacco
Desmond Sacco is Chairman of Assore Ltd in Johannesburg. He is Chair of Ore & Metal Co Ltd as well as Chair of African Mining & Trust Co Ltd. Sacco represented South African University at cricket (blue), hockey (blue) and Transvaal Provincial cricket and hockey. Sacco qualified as a geologist and joined the Assore group in 1968. He was appointed to the Assore Board in 1974 and, on retirement of his father in 1992, he was appointed Chairman and Managing Director. In that year, he was also appointed Deputy Chairman of Assmang Limited and in 1999, he became Chairman of Assmang. He is a fellow of the Institute of Directors and of the Geological Society of South Africa.
