Born in England, raised in Canada, now at home in South Africa and passionate about Africa's future, Ms Dyer works closely with other thought leaders to address the challenges of sustainable economic development and infrastructure delivery on the continent. Her 24 year career so far spans 39 countries on three continents. Her professional focus is currently on infrastructure project preparation and service delivery improvement, as well as on developing skills within Aurecon to address the complex needs of international development. She is fluent in French, and in addition to a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, she also has courses in Electrical Engineering, French-English translation, linguistics and French literature from McGill University in Canada.
