Born in Pretoria South Africa

Account manager for Phoenix Partnership and former senior correspondent for the Cape Times newspaper.

Clients include business think tank Accelerate Cape Town, the Western Cape Investment and Trade Promotion Agency (Wesgro), the CTICC2 (the CTICC expansion project), hospitality industry association FEDHASA Cape, Africa's first manufacturer of wind turbines Isivunguvungu Wind Energy Converter (I-WEC), Flagstone Winery's Poetry label, and child care NGO Home from Home. Previous clients include Freedom to Create, a Singapore-based organisation supporting artists from around the world who promote political, social and economic freedom, and the award-winning organic farm, The Drift in Napier.

Subject of play about a crime reporter, KKNK | 2011

Karen's adventures as crime reporter investigating the reign of terror by kidnapper and rapist Hansie Mowers in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley near Hermanus, became the subject of the site-specific play "Hel op Hemel-en-Aarde" at the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival in 2011. Karen's character, "Karen Rautenbach", was played by 7de Laan actress and television presenter Elma Postma.

Selected to write for Die Fees Burger at KKNK | 2003

Selected among a handful of students nationally to write for Die Burger newspaper's Klein Karoo Arts Festival edition in 2003, while studying Hons in International Relations at University of Stellenbosch.

Actor in drama production at KKNK | 2004

Performed in sold out site-specific drama De Familie Wagenaer at the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival (KKNK) with Vicky Davis, Neels van Jaarsveld, Tersius Kapp, Floyd de Waal, Schalk Joubert and Mark-Marcel Muller.
