Jaco Engels, who played provincial rugby at school level as a centre, is mostly used with tremendous effect as an impact player. He is a specialist loosehead prop and with his explosive power, sound defence and vicious ball carrying abilities he is a real threat when he comes on as a super-sub. Engels played his 50th provincial match for the Blue Bulls in 2009 and his 50th appearance in Super Rugby is also within his sight.
