Herman Groeneweld is the Democratic Alliance Member of the NCOP for the North West. He holds a Thod Diploma in Education as well as a BA Degree. Herman was a teacher for 14 years and thereafter became a Headmaster of a Primary School for 12 years. He now considers himself a retired educator and a full time politician. Herman was re-elected in 2009 and became a member of Parliament in the NCOP (National Council of Provinces). He was appointed to serve in Public services as well as Public Enterprises Cluster Portfolios. His constituency is Merafong City Municipal area including Carletonville, Khutsong, Wadeln, Fochville, Kokosi.
