Hendrick Makaneta is an Educationist at Sci-Bono Discovery Centre. Mr. Makaneta has taught Mathematics in more than 10 schools in Gauteng province.

Mr Makaneta has also worked at Maths Centre for Professional Teachers (MCPT) where he was responsible for training Maths Educators on Maths content.

Mr.Makaneta is a Provincial Executive Committee member of the Association for Mathematics Education of South Africa (AMESA) in Gauteng province.

Mr. Makaneta has attended many workshops and seminars on Mathematics at Wits University, University of Pretoria, University of Johannesburg and AMESA conferences and workshops.

Mr Makaneta is a former member of the Board of the University of Pretoria Alumni Association (Tuksalumni), having served in the years 2005 to 2009.
