Gavin Goertz has been in legal practice for 15 years. His areas of practice include tax law, commercial law, property law and commercial litigation. He has a masters degree in tax law and submitted a dissertation on the taxation consequences of value shifting arrangements. He has on behalf of clients been involved in the successful resolution of a number of tax disputes with the South African Revenue Service. He is also a conveyancer and has attended to numerous property related matters. His clients include both listed and unlisted corporates, owner managed busineses across a broad range of sectors and high net worth individuals. He has published a substantial number of articles for De Rebus, Finweek and TaxTalk and has presented a substantial number of seminars on various aspects of tax law.
