Brait S.A.

Founded in 1990, Brait is an international investment group that manages third-party capital committed by a combination of international and South African investors. Its business is the raising and management of investment funds classified as Alternative Assets. The current product set includes private equity, mezzanine debt funds and a range of hedge fund solutions. Additionally Brait deploys its capital in proprietary investment programmes in these product areas. These investments are made predominantly in South Africa and its region. Brait’s operations are organised into three business units – Private Capital, incorporating all activities in the private equity and debt markets; Public Markets, incorporating all activities in the public or highly traded securities markets; and Treasury Capital, incorporating all activities related to managing the Group’s cash and funding requirements.
