Bob Borowsky

South African born Baritone and Pharmacist


Born 23-06-1929 in Pretoria

Bob Borowsky is a South African born Baritone and Pharmacist. After he qualified as a pharmacist at the end of 1951, he started taking singing lessons with Bruce Anderson. He went to Rome for two and a half years, returning to South Africa during September 1956. He has performed in over 650 concerts throughout Southern Africa. After he matriculated he applied to the Johannesburg Philharmonic Society and was accepted. He started singing in the chorus in 1948 and 1949 whilst studying pharmacy part-time.
