Democratic Alliance's Shadow Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training

Andricus van der Westhuizen is the Democratic Alliance's Shadow Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training. He has a long history of teaching and education jobs, before he was elected as speaker of the newly formed, DA-led Stellenbosch Council in 2000.The Stellenbosch Town Council honoured him by bestowing on him the status of Aldermanship.
He has also served the DA in Stellenbosch for a number of years as a member of the executive committee, including a year as chairperson of the local constituency committee.
